AltPkg is a browser extension that helps web developers install packages by allowing them to add install scripts for any package manager. I open sourced it you can find the repo link below. As for the reason why i made this extension — I was tired of constantly having to manually update the code to match my package manager.

I have submitted AltPkg to every major browser's extension store, so far only got approved in Chrome Web Store , you can install from there. I will update the blog and repo as soon as possible.
